Maple House Plumbing Workshop

Domestic plumbing · Repairs & fitting

The quiet kind of plumber who leaves the room tidy

Maple House is a two-bench workshop for houses and flats — dripping valves, cold showers, slow drains and whole bathrooms, handled in one visit wherever we can.

  • Written price first
  • Dust sheets as standard
  • Parts explained

Something leaking right now?

Describe it in the request form and mark it urgent. We keep the first slots of each morning and late afternoon free for water that will not stop.

What we handle

Six jobs that make up most of our week

If your job is not on this list it is still worth asking — most domestic plumbing sits somewhere between these headings.

Leaks & emergency repairs

Burst joints, weeping valves, ceiling stains and overflowing cisterns traced back to the cause rather than patched at the surface.

Bathroom fitting

Full rooms or single swaps — baths, basins, showers and tiling set out on paper before a single fixing goes into the wall.

Hot water & heating

Lukewarm showers, noisy cylinders, cold radiators and thermostats that argue with the rest of the house.

Blocked drains & waste

Slow sinks, gurgling baths and outside gullies cleared, then checked so the same blockage does not rebuild by next month.

Kitchen plumbing

Sinks, mixers, waste traps and appliance connections for dishwashers, washing machines and filtered taps.

Taps, valves & stopcocks

Seized isolation valves and stiff stopcocks replaced, so the next small problem stays a small problem.

How a visit works

Three steps, no waiting by the window

We would rather over-explain than have you wonder whether anyone is coming.

  1. Tell us what the house is doing

Fill in the request form with the symptom, the room and how soon it matters. Photos are welcome later by reply if they help.

  2. We confirm a window

You get a reply with a two-hour arrival window, who is coming and a written price for the work we can already see.

  3. We fix it and show you

Sheets down, job done, old parts kept for you to see, and a plain note of what was changed and what to watch.

Why Maple House

A workshop, not a call centre

Maple House is small on purpose. The person who reads your request is the person who turns up, which is why we can promise how the visit will go.

  • The price is written before the tools come out

If the job grows once a panel is off, we stop and tell you what that changes before carrying on.

  • Your floors are covered, every time

Sheets, boot covers and a vacuum travel in the van. The room should look better than we found it.

  • Parts are chosen to be found again

We fit standard, serviceable components so a future washer or cartridge is an errand, not an excavation.

  • You get told what we actually did

A short written note after each visit: what failed, what replaced it, and the one thing worth keeping an eye on.

Good to know

Questions we are asked most

How do you price a job?
Small repairs are quoted as a fixed price for the visit once you have described the symptom. Larger work — a bathroom, a cylinder swap — is quoted in writing after a short look at the room, itemised by labour and parts.
Can you come out the same day?
Often, for water that will not stop. The first slot of each morning and one late-afternoon slot are held back for urgent calls. Mark your request urgent and we will tell you honestly whether today is realistic.
Do I need to be home for the whole visit?
Only for the arrival and the hand-over at the end. If you need to step out in between, say so when you request the visit and we will arrange it.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes — our labour is guaranteed for twelve months, and fitted parts carry their maker's own cover. If something we touched misbehaves, we come back and look at it first, before any conversation about cost.
I rent my home. Can I still book?
You can request a visit, but we will need your landlord or managing agent to approve the work in writing before we start. Mention it in your description and we will send a quote worded for them.

Request a visit

Tell us what is wrong and we will come back with a window

One form, no call-backs you have to chase. Every request is read by a plumber, not a scheduler.

  • What happens next

A reply with a two-hour arrival window and a written price for the work we can already see.

  • What we need from you

The room, the symptom, and how soon it matters. Everything else we can work out on the day.

We only use your details to answer this request and arrange the visit.
